Just what is the Urban Riparian Symposium?

URS is THE biannual conference in Texas for all things riparian, co-hosted by the Texas Riparian Association and the Texas Water Resources Institute. The Symposium has enjoyed hundreds of presentations ranging from stream restoration stories and methods, green stormwater infrastructure and in-stream habitat studies, to mitigation efforts, nutrient enrichment, community science, and floodplain planning.

This year we are hoping to hear about your projects, how you physically go about accomplishing your work, and how riparian systems are being sustained in your area. Urban, rural, and agricultural projects are all encouraged equally.

Consider being a sponsor or exhibitor! Our three-day conference is a fantastic way to promote your service or cause.

Questions should be directed to Alexander Neal by email Alexander.Neal@ag.tamu.edu or call 979.314.2351.

A Conference Rate Room Block will be available at a hotel adjacent to the Waco Convention Center. Please check back with us soon for more details!

We are currently looking for sponsors of the symposium. Please contact us with inquiries and for more information.
